Overview
This three-day course provides a comprehensive approach to the assessment and management of canine musculoskeletal pain, with particular emphasis on appendicular osteoarthritis and shoulder disorders.
It combines live online lectures from specialists in anaesthesia and analgesia, pain management, diagnostic imaging, behaviour, internal medicine, sports medicine and rehabilitation and surgery, with supervised cadaver-based practical training in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventions

Live specialist lectures across relevant disciplines
Supervised cadaver-based practical training
Previous ultrasound experience encouraged, not essential
Limited enrolment to support small group teaching

Intended audience
Designed for veterinary surgeons in general practice, as well as specialists and specialists-in-training in disciplines relevant to canine musculoskeletal disease and pain management.
It is particularly relevant for clinicians wishing to broaden their approach to chronic musculoskeletal pain and gain practical experience in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventions.
Learning objectives
By the end of the course, delegates will be better equipped to:
Understand the mechanisms, assessment
and diagnosis of canine musculoskeletal pain
Select appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies

Develop and refine the practical skills required to perform the ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventions covered during the course
